What is the difference between Virgin EPDM and SBR rubber granules?
Virgin EPDM granules are manufactured from new ethylene-propylene-diene polymer with pigments throughout each granule, offering high elasticity, non-toxicity, and 8-10 years of color stability under intense sunlight. SBR granules are derived from recycled automotive tires (black) and are primarily used for cost-effective shock-absorbing base layers.
What colors of EPDM granules are available?
epdmsports provides 25+ standard colors including Track Red, Dark Red, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, Forest Green, Apple Green, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Grey, and Beige. Custom color blends can also be formulated for orders of 3 tons or more.

Yes. Our virgin EPDM granules are tested and certified compliant with international safety standards including EN 71-3 (Safety of Toys - Migration of Certain Elements) and RoHS, ensuring they are safe for school playgrounds and children sports facilities.
How many kilograms of EPDM granules are needed per square meter?
For a standard 3mm running track wear layer, approximately 3.0 to 3.5 kg of EPDM granules and 0.8 to 1.0 kg of PU topcoat binder are required per square meter. Our technical team can prepare an accurate bill of materials for your exact site area.
